Tryon Heritage Meats specializes in old fashioned pasture raised beef and farm raised pork. We are a North Carolina certified meat handler. All meats are USDA inspected.
We have a cow/calf herd located in Bessemer City NC. We select the best calves and raise them from birth. After weaning, they are fed a diet of grass supplemented with hay grown on the farm. We also give them a small amount of grain with minerals that makes up < 1% of their overall feed. This promotes meat marbling and tenderness.
